Wild Thyme is located within a narrow, 400-year-old Grade 2 listed building and therefore there are some restrictions to accessibility which we regret.
We are located on a relatively steep hill so if you have difficulty walking then we suggest that you use the parking bays immediately outside the property. There is a 30-minute wait limit, (applicable 8am to 6pm Monday to Saturday) but not applicable to Blue Badge holders.
There is a very small step into the restaurant and a further one into the Garden Room and toilet area. It is possible to bring a wheelchair or mobility scooter into the restaurant but we ask that you advise us of this at the time of booking so that we can allocate sufficient space.
There is a tight right-hand turn into the toilet and therefore this may not be easy with a wheelchair (unless it is a slim line one).
The building has some low beams and some slopping floors and ceilings; people over 6ft 2 will have to duck in areas and will only be able to stand in the full height shower in the Lilac room. We have no ground floor rooms and no lift. There are handrails up the stairways and of course we will assist with luggage.
One double en-suite room is located on the first floor which has a large bathroom with continental slip bath and shower above.
The other two rooms are up a further staircase with two turns. One is a small room with a full height shower cubicle, and the other a larger room with small bathroom and continental bathroom with shower above.
Please do call 01608 645060 to discuss your individual needs and we will do our very best to accommodate you.
